- Batteries (should be a good brand, not rechargeable)
If you recently changed the batteries, please do a reboot. On the bottom of the front panel of the lock, there is a reboot button next to the micro USB port. Push and hold the button with something small like a paperclip for a few seconds until you see the lock turn off and then back on.
*Please note this does not erase your lock settings (only factory reset does that).
Test from the keypad - Please do these with the door swung open
- Test 1 - Long press any key on the keypad for 1-2 seconds and release. The lock should lock
- Test 2 - On the keypad, enter the code you created and the # symbol, and the door should unlock.
If these did not work, please consult your installation guide. There is a step that was missed.
The most common steps we see missed are the thumb turn, with the lock in the unlocked position it should be lined up like the picture
The handing switch - look at the inside of your door, what side is the lock on. Put the switch to match.
The rotation shaft, you must have one in place to turn the lock when the motor is engaged.
- Environment and Impact Issues
There are times that a door may have adjusted due to seasonal weather (some wood doors) or use. Checking the screws on the faceplate, and testing the lock with the door open. Check the strike plate or simply reinstall the lock to ensure it is all seated properly.
- Motor issues (uncommon)
Open the lock, and remove the rotation shaft. With the batteries in operate the lock and check if the screw area is turning. If not, send a video so we can investigate further.
If you are not able to resolve the issue, please send in a video showing the interior portion of the lock, with the door swung open and trying to complete tests 1 & 2 above to email@example.com for further help.
